From the time she was 5 years old, Dr. Forslund remembers wanting to be a veterinarian. She grew up in Quebec and went to vet school at the University of Montreal where she graduated in 1990. She practiced in Quebec for the first year and then, seeking adventure, moved to the Great White North where she owned the only veterinary hospital 600 miles around. Apart from treating pets, Dr Forslund also cared for a lot of sled dogs and was the head veterinarian for the famous Labrador 400, a 400 miles sled dog race.
After many years of 50° below winters, Dr. Forslund decided to seek the Southern California sun and moved to Orange County in 1996 where she has been practicing ever since.
After having been in the same practice for 7 years, Dr Forslund decided to join Newport Center Animal hospital in April 07. “What attracted me to this hospital was its high quality individual care for clients and pets and the fact that it is family owned and that everybody working here is so friendly and happy to be there.
Now, I am very happy to be part if this team and being the primary veterinarian for this practice. I definitely want the clients of Newport Center Animal Hospital to feel like I am their veterinarian and that I know and care for their furry family members’ health needs.” Dr Forslund has a wonderful husband and 2 adorable children with whom she loves to spend her free time.
“I will always strive to be there for you and to help your pets.”
